Anstey owns an extensive design archive which is kept on site.  It contains a collection of early 19th Century silk brocades, block-printed wallcoverings and borders, original artwork dating from the thirties, the Melody Mills production samples and even a selection of 1980’s borders!  All of which are available for customer use.

Designs can be lifted exactly from the original documents or simply used as inspiration to develop ideas from.

In either case, the Anstey design team can offer creative and technical support through every stage of the product development.

We also have access to one of the largest privately owned archives of its kind in the world. The archive contains some 60,000 textile samples and 20,000 paper samples as well as records and documents from four 19th Century silk weavers.

These archives provide an inspirational resource for both traditional and contemporary range styling.
